From January 23 to 25, 2019, the FHNW School of Life Sciences welcomed Xicheng Xie, the Vice President of the Chinese Science Foundation (NSFC), Carmen de Vicente Coll, European Commission Project Officer and the Vice Director of the International Cooperation Office, at the new FHNW campus in Muttenz. All together and in the presence of 60 attendees, they launched the research project ELECTRA, the first European-Chinese research project dealing with green remediation technologies for contaminated sites.

The kick off meeting continued the next two days in Filzbach, the famous Swiss resort area.
